The MM/FMM Artwork

At the core of MM/FMM artistic project is the artistic, theoretical, and philosophical research about the creative process and the artistic method. These are focused on several key questions: is it possible to move the creative process the artist is following in the real world, and to place it outside of the artist? How to devise the artwork which would behave as an artist – the artwork to generate other art pieces itself? Can the method, applied by the artist, have its own autonomy (within the digital surroundings)? How to create the artwork in digital/crypto space at all? How to create original, autonomous, and essentially related artworks, but in large series? The conclusions and the answers to all these questions are presented with the generative MM/FMM artwork.

The MM/FMM artwork is created as an artistic/methodological/technical solution to the problem of how to visually represent an occurrence in the time unit? Therefore, the basic theme and the artistic question of the artwork is time as such. To answer it, a specific artistic method (creative principle) was devised – the method of exception, on which the OCC GEN ART was based also. The method of exception allows for the univocal and the complete identifying of a unique and unrepeatable occurrence of a single event, by means of art, so that the visual elements are assigned to the data. Applied to the creation in the crypto surroundings, the method of exception branches to the method of complete individualization of large series, which means that this method is used to create numerous autonomous, but naturally and essentially related NFT paintings.

The MM/FMM artwork is, therefore, created according to the generative Mother Minute (MM) artistic concept and the Football Mother Minute (FMM) focus-concept, derived from it. The artistic concept ideally represents the artistic method according to which the artwork is created, and so the Mother Minute concept relates to every single possible minute of the time. The derived focus-concept is narrower and more directed to some more particular time (minute): the FMM focus-concept is about the minute of a historical football match. Thus, every generated NFT painting univocally identifies a minute of a historical football match, i.e. it indicates the football event of the match which occurred in that particular minute, as well as the events in a specific minute of a particular historical match.

As the generative essence of the artwork, the concept determines and proscribes all the attributes of every single NFT painting generated out of it, and so the concept ensures their complete individualization. In the MM/FMM artwork the representational content of the NFT art piece is the visual interpretation of the concept. The concept is artistically and technically realized through the originative variable painting (the q-painting), out of which the NFT paintings are further generated.
